Construction is what we were built around. We know the seasonality, the retainage, the bid-to-award gap, and the fact that the machine usually has to be on site before the first draw hits. The financing gets structured for that.
What contractors finance through us
- Excavators, mini to 50-ton, and the thumbs, breakers, and grade control that go on them.
- Dozers, wheel loaders, graders, articulated trucks, and compactors.
- Skid steers and compact track loaders with attachments.
- Dump trucks, tri-axles, and water trucks, plus the lowboy or tag trailer.
- Concrete equipment, screeds, pumps, trench boxes, light towers, generators, and job-site containers.
- Telehandlers, lifts, and boom trucks.
How we structure construction deals
Start-ups and first-year contractors
A foreman or operator going out on their own is our most common start-up file and one of the most fundable. Bring the experience, any signed contracts or awards, a personal credit picture in the 600s or better, and 10 to 20 percent down. The first deal is usually a skid steer, a mini-ex, or a used mid-size excavator. Do that one clean for a year and the second deal gets easier and cheaper.
What we need from you
The one-page application, the dealer quote or listing, and for deals over about $150K to $250K, the last two years of business returns and a current interim. Certificate of insurance before funding. That is the whole list for most files.
Questions we get
Can a new construction company get equipment financing?
Yes. Start-up programs look at operator experience, contracts in hand, personal credit, and down payment. The first machine is usually app-only under $150K.
Do you finance equipment for a job that has not started yet?
Yes. A signed contract or award letter for the job actually strengthens the file, and a deferred first payment can bridge the gap to the first draw.
Can I finance used equipment from another contractor?
Yes. Private-party purchases need a bill of sale, a lien search, and usually an inspection. A couple of extra days versus a dealer.
What about bad credit from a past business?
Discharged bankruptcies and older charge-offs with clean recent history are workable through story-credit programs. Tell us up front and we route it correctly the first time.
